Get in the Holiday Spirit During The Washington Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’

  |     |   Uncategorized

The Washington Ballet’s The Nutcracker puts a historical twist on the original. It features cameos by George Washington, King George III, and other major players from the United States’ earliest days, all intricately woven into the fantastical tale about Clara and her adventure into a winter wonderland. The classic show is back for the 2021 season in Washington, D.C.

More than 100 dancers (some students of The Washington School of Ballet, others seasoned professionals) twirl their way across a stage embellished with intricate sets, bringing the time-tested tale to life in vibrant detail. Of course, the signature score by Tchaikovsky is what really accentuates the holiday magic. With more than 30 performances slated for the season, you should have plenty of time to experience the classic ballet.

Note that proof of vaccination is required at the door for any guests over the age of 12, and masks are required at all times regardless of vaccination status. Reserve your tickets online ASAP to be part of this holiday tradition as it returns to The Washington Ballet for the 2021 season!
